<div>Writing this is something we never imagined we would have to do. Our family’s world was turned upside down when my dad VJ was diagnosed with Cadasil , a rare genetic condition that affects the brain and is a form of early-onset dementia. Along with this devastating diagnosis, our dad has suffered three strokes on both sides of his brain - six strokes in total. 

</div>

<div>Nothing prepares you to hear that someone you love has permanent damage to their brain. Nothing prepares you to watch the person who has always been your protector, your support, and your steady place in the world suddenly face confusion, memory loss, and physical and emotional challenges that came on far too quickly.

</div>

<div>Our dad has always been strong. VJ has always shown up for others without hesitation. Seeing him navigate the effects of Cadasil  and the aftermath of multiple strokes has been heartbreaking. Each day comes with uncertainty — we don’t know what tomorrow will look like, but we do know that his condition is progressive and life-changing.

</div>

<div>As we focus on his care, treatment, and quality of life, the financial burden has become overwhelming. Medical bills, hospital stays, therapies, medications, and ongoing care add up faster than we can manage, especially as his ability to work and live independently has been impacted.

</div>

<div>We are asking for help during the most difficult time our family has ever faced. Any donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward our dad’s medical expenses and care, allowing us to focus on supporting him instead of worrying about how we’ll afford the next step.
