<div>In January 2023, I was diagnosed with Stage 2B breast cancer. I had a lumpectomy followed by 16 rounds of chemo and 20 rounds of radiation, completing active treatment in October 2023. Facing the uncertainty of a cancer diagnosis was isolating in ways that are hard to describe, and then doing it at the age of 34 was unthinkable.

<div>I am raising support for The Breasties Inc because the community saved me when I needed it most. I knew I needed to find a support group, a community, therapy, all the things. After a couple of months of trying different options and feeling a bit blah about what was out there, I found The Breasties, and it was everything I was looking for.

<div>After joining, I could see how incredible this organization and its members are. I was able to regain parts of myself I thought I’d lost. I found a sense of normalcy, belonging, and protection. I have an amazing support system of friends and family, but The Breasties fill in the gaps, offering the kind of understanding and support that only someone who’s walked in cancer shoes can give.

<div>The Breasties create a lifeline of real people who understand what it means to be a patient, a previvor, a caregiver, or a stage 4 thriver.They build inclusive spaces where survivors and their loved ones can find emotional support, practical advice, and advocacy that changes systems. Every conversation, support group, and resource they provide makes an enormous difference in how someone experiences treatment, recovery, and life beyond diagnosis.

Donations help pay for medical professionals to host discussions, the one-of-a-kind Camp Breasties, virtual/in-person meetups, platform improvements, stage 4 research grants, and access to various resources.
