<div>I never thought I would be sitting here trying to find the words to write something like this. No one ever thinks a day will come when someone they love — someone they grew up with, laughed with, made memories with, and imagined a lifetime of moments ahead with — hears the words “you have cancer.”

<div>But here we are.
</div>

</div>
<div>My baby brother, someone who means more to me than I could ever put into words, was recently diagnosed with an aggressive cancer. Right now, we are still waiting for more answers and for doctors to determine exactly what type of cancer we are dealing with and what his treatment plan will look like. There are still so many unknowns, and that has been one of the hardest parts — waiting, wondering, and wishing we could just take this away from him.

<div>As his big brother, all I want to do is protect him. I would trade places with him if I could. I would carry this burden for him in a heartbeat. But since I can’t, I want to do everything possible to make sure he knows he is surrounded by love, support, and an army of people standing behind him.

<div>Anyone who knows my brother knows he is not the type of person who asks for help. He is hardworking, strong, and has spent his life building a future with his wife and creating a home and farm they love. He’s the kind of person who shows up, puts in the work, and keeps going even when things are hard.

<div>But right now, life has thrown him a battle that no one should ever have to face alone.
</div>

<div>With doctor appointments, testing, upcoming treatments, and everything this fight will require, he is unable to work the way he normally would. Unfortunately, the bills don’t stop when your whole world gets flipped upside down. The mortgage, daily expenses, medical costs, caring for their farm, and taking care of the life he and his wife have built together all continue.

<div><strong>The last thing I want my brother worrying about while fighting cancer is whether he can afford to simply live.</strong>

<div>That is why we are asking for help.
