<div>Hi, we are Michelle, Jen, and Jenn, and we are asking for support for our dear friend and colleague Maggie. She is a single mom of two amazing kids, Metta and Eli. Maggie works as a full-time science teacher (yay Nipher!), and in addition to that, she works as a massage therapist and teaches yoga (Bloom Mind+Body) to help make ends meet for her two amazing kids. Even with working three jobs, it’s a stretch to cover basic needs—but she does it because her kids are everything to her!

<div>Unfortunately, this past month, Maggie and her family received devastating news. Metta was shockingly diagnosed with severe scoliosis following a simple sports physical. According to multiple doctors, the only option was to undergo a major spinal fusion surgery. While we’re hopeful this will give Metta relief and a brighter future, the recovery is <strong>long, difficult, and expensive</strong>.

<div>Maggie will need to take time off to care for Metta during her recovery, but unfortunately, her leave will be unpaid, which means while medical bills, travel costs, and recovery supplies are adding up, her regular income will shrink.

<div>The funds raised by Maggie and Metta's supporters will go toward out-of-pocket medical costs, devices, and supplies that insurance does not cover, along with potential personal home expenses, like rent and utilities, while Maggie is Metta's full-time caregiver and unable to work.
