*UPDATE 9/1/25* Logan has been making tremendous progress, and we are so proud of how hard he’s been working. His physical abilities are slowly coming back thanks to his dedication and the amazing support he has gotten from his family and close friends guiding him. However, he still has a VERY long road ahead. While his body is showing signs of improvement, his cognitive recovery requires specialized, intensive treatment to give him the best chance at a full recovery.
Unfortunately, because of how broken our healthcare system is, Logan was recently sent home from the hospital while his team of neurologists, nurses, and rehab staff fight with insurance to approve the intensive inpatient rehab he desperately needs over the next several weeks. Insurance is attempting to deny coverage because of the progress he’s making physically, even though his brain and cognitive abilities still require so much work and specialized therapies.
This has put an enormous emotional, physical, and financial strain on our family. Logan’s mom has not been able to work since all of this began, as her full-time focus has been caring for him and advocating for his care. On top of everyday bills and providing for the family, she now has the added worry of transportation costs, gas, and time to get Logan to and from treatments if inpatient rehab is not approved—or even to visit him and support him if he is admitted.
Any contribution, no matter how small, truly makes a difference. Your support helps ease this overwhelming burden and ensures Logan can continue getting the care he needs to heal. Now it’s our turn to step up for him.Recently, Logan was involved in a serious car accident where he suffered a traumatic head injury. The impact left him facing memory loss, speech impairments, and, until recently, limited motor functions.
Despite these challenges, Logan’s strength, determination, and fighter’s spirit have already shined through. He has made progress that reflects the same resilience he’s always shown. Logan has a long recovery journey ahead of him. The road will include extensive medical treatments, physical therapy, and rehabilitation. His family is doing everything they can to support him, but the financial burden is heavy.
