Lacy has given so much of her heart to her students in special education. Now she’s facing one of the hardest times of her life. After a serious incident at work, she needed surgery and is still fighting to heal—doctors are even watching closely to see if she’ll lose her toe. And there may be future surgery for a shoulder injury stemming from the same incident.

While she recovers, she can’t return to work, and the financial burden is heavy. Medical bills and everyday expenses don’t pause when life does.
