<div>I'm creating this fundraiser for my friend, Kala, who is facing an incredibly difficult and unexpected chapter in her life.

<div>Kala was recently diagnosed with colorectal cancer, and everything has happened very quickly. Her surgeon has instructed her to go to the emergency room on Friday morning, where she will be admitted for surgery. While she is staying positive and preparing to fight this, the emotional, physical, and financial challenges have been overwhelming.

<div>Kala works as a bartender, and because her income depends on being able to work, she'll be without a paycheck while she recovers. Between medical bills, insurance costs, medications, follow-up appointments, and everyday expenses like rent, utilities, groceries, and gas, the financial strain is significant.

<div>I'm asking for help so Kala can focus on healing instead of worrying about how she's going to pay her bills during recovery. Every donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward helping with medical expenses and basic living costs while she's unable to work.
