My dad’s journey began in December 2022, when his health took a turn when he was admitted to the ICU with COVID-19. He spent 30 days moving between the ICU, the hospital, and rehabilitation, fighting every day just to recover. Through incredible strength and determination, he slowly began to regain his health.

Just as we believed the hardest part was behind us, we received different news. He was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. Because of the complexity of his diagnosis, he began traveling to MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas, where he underwent multiple surgeries over the past two years in hopes of removing the cancer.

In February 2026, we celebrated the news we had been praying for as the cancer appeared to be gone, and he was doing well. Sadly, just three months later, on May 22nd, during a routine follow up appointment, doctors discovered that the cancer had likely spread to another area. In June 2026, our fears became reality when he was diagnosed with a rare form of Stage 4 cancer.

As he prepares to begin chemotherapy treatments at the end of June in Memphis, he will continue traveling to Houston for specialized scans, appointments, and ongoing care. The emotional and physical toll has been immense, and the financial burden of medical expenses, travel, lodging, and time away from work continues to grow.

If you know my dad, you know he is one of the strongest, kindest, most selfless people you could ever meet, and has always been there for others.  Any donation, no matter the amount, will go directly toward his medical care, travel expenses, and helping ease the financial stress on our family so he can focus on what matters most and fight this disease.
