<div>My dad, Epifanio Ibarra, is one of the hardest working men I know. He has spent his entire life taking care of his family, never asking for help and always handling everything on his own. He has always been my support system—my strength—and now it’s my turn to be his.

<div>Today, our world changed. My dad was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer that has spread to his bones. In the coming week, he will begin treatment. If his body responds well, we may be blessed with up to two more years with him. If not, we may only have a few short months left.

<div>We are asking for help during this incredibly difficult time. Donations will go toward the cost of his treatment, medical expenses, and travel. One of his biggest wishes is to return to Mexico to spend meaningful time with his family and say his goodbyes while he still can.

Ha dedicado toda su vida a cuidar de su familia, sin pedir ayuda jamás y encargándose siempre de todo por su cuenta. Él siempre ha sido mi pilar —mi fortaleza— y ahora es mi turno de ser el suyo. Hoy, nuestro mundo cambió. A mi padre le diagnosticaron cáncer de pulmón en etapa 4, el cual se ha extendido a sus huesos. En el transcurso de la próxima semana, comenzará su tratamiento. Si su cuerpo responde favorablemente, podríamos tener la bendición de pasar hasta dos años más a su lado. De no ser así, tal vez solo nos queden unos pocos y breves meses. Solicitamos su ayuda durante este momento increíblemente difícil. Las donaciones se destinarán a cubrir el costo de su tratamiento, los gastos médicos y los traslados.
