Standing with Chris to kick cancers ass

Donation protected
If you have not personally had the pleasure, let me introduce you to Chris Minetti. One of the funniest and kindest people to walk this earth.
In August 2008, at just 28, Chris’ larger than life personality was rocked by a severe stroke caused by a hemorrhage. He fought his way back, spending two months at Moss Rehabilitation Center. At 28, he was left with paralysis on left side of body. Did that stop him? If you know Chris, you know that is a silly question.

In 2011, he met sweet and giving Lisa Swiggard. He made her his bride in 2013. In 2016, they welcomed their sons Chris and Joey. Unfortunately, Chris’ world would be unfairly rocked again.

In May 2020, he discovered a lump growing out of the side of his head. It was soon learned that he had three tumors in his brain. On November 3, 2020, Chris had two of the tumors removed. It was then that doctors discovered that Chris had cancer. Tests revealed that he has a blood cancer called Multiple Myeloma. There are still some tests needed to make a confirmation and a proper determination of what stage he is in.

Chris’ response to this earth shattering news was, “I didn’t fight my way back from a stroke just to give up now”. His treatment is weekly
with infusions, injections, steroids and chemo.

It will be a long and grueling road. But I have no doubt that Chris will go through all of this and still act as everything is fine for his wife and sons. When Chris kicks this cancer’s ass, his remission treatment will involve a stem cell transplant surgery.

That this is happening to someone like Chris is so unfair. He has already had his share of trial and heartache. What he needs now is our help. Friends, family, strangers. He NEEDS to focus everything he has on getting better for his family. Wondering where next month’s morgage payment is coming from or how they can pay the utilities, the boys tuition, copays etc should not be a thought that crosses his mind. If you know Chris, you know that he would not have made it this far in my rambling and would’ve already made a donation. This money is not to buy fancy cars or to take trips, this is for a family’s survival. No amount is too small and no amount would go without absolute appreciation. When terrible things happen to the people we love, we often say “what can I do?”. In this case, what we can do is help ease the financial burden of every day life while this deserving husband and father fights for his life for the second time.
