Standing in the Gap with Marcia

Donation protected
My name is Marcia Tennison. I’m from a humble home in Lebanon Missouri. I grew up with seven brothers and sisters and two wonderful parents on a 40-acre farm.

I started working at the age of 14 years old.  After I graduated high school, I went to work in the medical field. Then my life changed drastically. I was in a severe car wreck that has left me handicapped. I was able to overcome that and learned to walk again despite being told I never would again without assistance. Once I started living on my own I was able to buy my own home and vehicle.   Recently I found myself the victim of a vicious con man who deceived me with lies, devoured my savings, and once my money was gone, he struck me so hard that I got a concession. These falsehoods included claims of overseas combat service and resulting post-traumatic stress disorder.

I have taken the actions to have him removed and charged with domestic violence. But I find myself in desperate straits. He has left me with considerable debt, to include an inability to pay the medical bills for my small dog of 12 years that his large attack dog blinded in an unprovoked attack. Right there in front of us!  He also blew thru over one hundred THOUSAND dollars of an annuity that I received from the car accident that left me disabled for life, as well as the proceeds from selling my home.

I live in a very beautiful place that I have sunk my remaining life savings into, a piece of heaven with a cabin and land where I was able to find peace in my life. I now face a very difficult struggle to hold onto this place due to the extreme financial stress he placed me under.

If I can raise even a fraction of the asking amount, I can restore my credit and obtain a mortgage. I have two car payments I need to get out from under.  I would love to raise enough to pay cash for a reliable used vehicle that carries no payments.  If I can get on my feet financially, I will then use any excess funds to improve the place with the intention of offering a room to shelter other victims of domestic violence. Thank you for donating whatever you can, and God Bless you and your families in these difficult times.
