As many of you know, I’m a single mom recently diagnosed with a disabling medical condition, Mast Cell Activation Syndrome (MCAS), that has caused severe housing and financial hardship for my son and me. I’m currently in an ongoing legal situation related to unsafe housing conditions that have caused serious health consequences.

<div>Because of this crisis, I’ve lost my only vehicle, blocking my access to medical care and my son’s ability to get to work and continue his college athletics training. Utilities have been put at risk through withheld or delayed bills. While I’m fighting this in court, and urgently need help covering basic living costs, safe transportation, medical care, and securing my son’s future.

<div>To break free safely and legally, I also need to clear old debts that have gone to court; debts that could block obtaining a safe dwelling, drain my SSDI through judgments, or jeopardize any stable housing I secure. Because I live on a fixed disability income, I must also plan ahead to keep reliable car insurance for myself and my son until he graduates college and can carry this on himself. It will cover the initial cost, only. Covering this initial cost is part of what makes safe transportation possible.
