"The Only Legal Way To Teach The Bible To Public School Students During School Hours"
Say what??....Yes, it's true! Before we dive in did you know...
8 in 10 American youth don't attend church but 9 in 10 attend public schools.
What does this mean? Reaching youth with the gospel in today's culture is a challenge. Since most students aren't inside church walls, why not go where they are?
Stand For Truth Academies takes advantage of little known legislation (one example: An Ohio law, HB 171 ORC 3313.6022 was passed in the Ohio legislature and signed into law by the Governor in 2014) that makes it legal to allow public school students to receive elective Biblical instruction during the school day, under the following conditions:
How it Works
1) The Mission Field:
There is a mission field in our own back yard, the public schools. We believe families, our community and our world can be changed by the power of God's Word!
2) The Opportunity:
By law, students have the opportunity to leave school each week for Bible education if the program is:
A) Privately funded (no government funds) B) Off school property C) The students have parental permission.
3) The Impact
Now approximately 95% of elementary students at our pilot program receive Bible education weekly and we have begun the process of offering classes to Middle School and High School as well!
WE NEED YOUR HELP
In order for us to take this replicable model nationwide we need your financial support. Here is how you can get involved
1) Donate - Our goal is to raise $500,000 by January 1, 2019 to launch SFT Academies nationwide
2) Start an SFT Academy in your area - If you'd like to see the students of your local public school impacted, we'd love the opportunity to talk with you about this endeavor.
3) Share the video!! Send to your Pastor, Church, Christian friends and family. People get excited to see that this can be done and naturally want to tell other believers.
Let's! Our youth are getting inundated with worldviews that oppose God and his Word. Now is the time to bring our unchurched students with the Gospel!
