Gemma who I have got to know in the last year is a young INSPIRING woman not even over 35 years old with two amazing little girls, Scarlett age 5 and Ruby age 8, has secondary breast cancer to the spine which holds a reasonable prognosis if she get's the treatment she needs and of course it is effective. Stereotactic radiosurgery which has been recommended by her oncologist but unfortunately I’m not eligible for the trial as I didn’t have a cancer free time before I was diagnosed with secondaries.
She has been referred by my oncologist to a consultant on Harley street in London who are willing to treat me but the cost will be £16,500....
Hotels can cost from anything from £80 and up too, so it be good to cover these costs too as the last thing you need to worry about when going through cancer treatment. .
While dealing with treatment, she has completed a 5 k walk for Breast Cancer and raised thousands for Breast Cancer, Blythe House, The Christie, and Maggies and not only that volunteer for the very first breast cancer run in Buxton and has held two fundraising nights as well as model at the Maggies catwalk event.
This is for Gemma AND I hope you agree she deserves this treatment and anything over is just a bonus which she so rightly deserves
I for one would like to have Gemma around for Years and Years to come, as she has been my rock the last Year and so even though she is going through this life changing illness, I hope we can at least get her to London for this hopefully life saving treatment
