Hello everyone,
My name is Herman and allow me to introduce you to Mariana…
Mariana is someone near and dear to my heart. She lives in Mexico and is a single mother and a survivor. A survivor of domestic violence and of an unsuccessful attempt on her life.
She lived a quiet, peaceful life working and raising her little daughter by herself until the father of her child suddenly reappeared after having run off with another woman several years prior.
This same monster who had treated her so shabbily when they were still together now tried to take her life. The good news is she survived, and he got caught, and now he and his collaborators will be going away for a very long time.
But his relatives are just as evil as he is; they initiated a campaign of threats and harassment against her to try to thwart her collaboration with the Prosecutor’s office. She was forced to go into hiding for several months because it was no longer safe to be out and about as before. Her life has been put on hold. The case is still pending.
This situation has made it impossible for her to work and to support herself; to lead the quiet and peaceful life that she is accustomed to.
If the aforementioned were not enough, she’s now having gallbladder problems and is in dire need of surgery.
In Mexico, people don’t enjoy the same flexibility that we do here at home. The hospitals and doctors there don’t accept monthly payments, credit, or any such thing. You either pay up in full beforehand, or it’s a no-go.
So at the moment, she is in excruciating pain while waiting for there to be funds for surgery.
Her family has managed to cobble together half of the cost, but there is still more to go.
The total cost is going to be about USD $4500. Surgery, hospital stay and other ancillary costs that may come up.
I hope Mariana’s story has touched your heart and that it motivates you to donate. Any donation, great or small, is greatly appreciated, and it will make a difference.
Open your hearts to her plight and give. Thank you!
-Herman
