Help Linda With Unfair Medical Costs

Hi friends and family,

I am doing this fundraiser for my mom, Linda Challender. If you have the pleasure of knowing Linda, you know that she works hard and gives everything to those around her. She never hesitates to give to those who need help.

She is now in a place where she needs help. Earlier this year she had a health scare, and ended up in the hospital for several days. She thought with having health insurance that she’d be ok…she just found out that insurance has denied her coverage for her hospital stay. St. Luke’s is now trying to collect $14,000 from her to cover this bill, since insurance won’t cover anything.

Linda works 40hrs a week, as well as serving as a caretaker for her dad and brother. She gives hours every week to church working with the youth. A couple years ago a family member took advantage of her kindness, and wracked up close to $40,000 of debt under her name…and left her with the bill. Linda is working tirelessly to pay these bills off, and now the hospital wants $500 a month to cover what insurance refuses to.

$500 a month for one bill is a lot for most people, but for a single woman who is on a very tight income to start with, it’s absolutely impossible.
