<div>Our family is heartbroken. My aunt, Licette, has been diagnosed with Stage 3 colon cancer. She has already been through extensive chemotherapy and believed that surgery would be the final step toward recovery—only to receive the devastating news that surgery is not possible because the tumor has grown into her sacrum. Despite this setback, Licette is not giving up. We are actively seeking second opinions, exploring every available resource, and doing everything we can to find new options for her treatment.

She’s been more than an aunt to me—she’s been a mother figure not only to her own children but to every friend they ever brought through the door. Her home was always open, and her kitchen always full of laughter and love. She has spent her life taking care of everyone else—now it’s our turn to take care of her.

<div>Unfortunately, this battle comes with an overwhelming financial burden. While Licette does have private insurance, it only covers part of her care. All other costs—additional consultations, treatments, medications, travel to specialists, and everyday expenses—will have to come out of pocket.
