<div>I was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. As I focus on my health and recovery, I’m also carrying the heavy burden of emotional and financial hardship—caused not by strangers, but by my own family.

<div>About two and a half years ago, I moved in with my daughter, Adriane Lightsey, for what was supposed to be just a short two-month stay. She charged me over $8,000 for that time. While I was living there, her daughter, Ashley Lightsey-Jones, and Ashley’s husband, Jason Jones, took advantage of me and misused my personal and financial information.

<div>Here’s what happened:

<div>I let them assist me with my taxes, but something went terribly wrong. I now owe the IRS due to mistakes they never corrected.
</div>
<div>Ashley opened a Rooms To Go credit card in my name, bought furniture, and left the debt unpaid.
</div>
<div>She also used my American Express cards for her personal bills and vacations, and never reimbursed me.
</div>
<div>Jason used my CareCredit account for dental work without my knowledge or consent, and also failed to pay.
</div>
<div>As a result, I’m now facing lawsuits from credit card companies, an IRS debt I can’t afford, and damage to my credit and peace of mind. I’ve filed police reports, but the financial harm has already been done—and they’ve since cut off all contact with me.

<div>I plan to go to the State Attorney’s Office in hopes of pursuing further legal action. I want accountability—not just for myself, but so that others don’t fall victim to the same kind of betrayal.
</div>

<div>All of this is happening while I’m battling cancer, living with limited resources, and struggling to manage daily life on my own. I’m also disabled, dealing with mobility issues that make it difficult to walk. Due to my health and age, I’ve had to give up the nursing career that once gave me purpose and independence.

<div>I never imagined I’d be in a position where I’d have to ask for help. But I’m truly out of options.
