<div>Geremy, a junior at Lamar High School, should be preparing for his final exams. Instead, he has been detained by ICE for more than 60 days. On January 18, he was taken into custody despite having no criminal records, while his asylum and visa applications remain pending.

<div>Geremy is a self-taught barber, a long-distance runner, and a dedicated student. He is known by his community as a resilient and hardworking young man who constantly gives back to others in need. On the weekends, he volunteered at St. Thomas University with Professor David Godwin’s Literary program. This is just one example of the type of student and community member Geremy is. Geremy’s absence is felt by his teachers and classmates at Lamar High School, his friends and the community he has formed. We are pleading for his release so he can return home and finish his studies.
