<div>Hi, my name is Erik. I’ve been having debilitating headaches, occasional nausea, weakness, and loss of appetite and balance. After seeking medical attention, everything seemed to be normal, but my headaches were so excruciating that I was taken into the emergency room where my mom advised doctors we were waiting on an appointment that was set in a few days for a CT scan of my head. The Doctor at the ER requested it be done.

<div>After having results available, my mom was pulled aside and informed that the scan revealed the presence of a <strong>massive tumor in the center of my brain</strong>. Arrangements were immediately made to fly me to San Antonio’s specialty neurology department at University Hospital. My brain was full of fluid that had been obstructed by the tumor for an unknown time. I immediately had a procedure where they drilled a hole in my skull and placed a tube into my brain to start draining that fluid.

<div><strong>I am in need of surgery to remove the tumor</strong> and am having so many daily procedures including MRI’s and daily CT scans to see what else has been affected and monitor progress or regression of my current state. My brothers and mom have been by my side, away from work and our expenses are accumulating rapidly. I also want to mention that I am grateful for my family and friends that have traveled to see me and spent hours in the waiting area.
