<div>On Wednesday, April 23rd, our beloved David Sample suffered a serious injury, fracturing his C6 vertebrae. In response, David underwent an intense 8½-hour surgery where surgeons fused his C4 through C7 vertebrae. The operation was a success, and while we remain hopeful, it is still too early to determine the full extent of his future mobility.

<div>David is preparing to begin an intensive rehabilitation and therapy journey—one that will be critical in helping him achieve the best possible outcome. After an in-person interview was conducted at Harborview Medical Center, David was accepted into Craig Hospital's  SCI (Spinal Cord Injury) Inpatient Rehabilitation Program in Denver, Colorado. As many of you know, David is a strong, determined, and incredibly inspiring young man. His spirit has never wavered, even in the face of this life-altering challenge. He is holding firmly to the promise of Romans 8:28—“And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God.”

<div>David is an amazing young man with an incredible heart, and we are committed to walking this road beside him. But we can’t do it alone.

The road ahead will be long, with many medical expenses, therapy sessions, adaptive equipment needs, home modifications, and unforeseen costs along the way.
