Stand With Brad

Donation protected

Our goal is to hopefully alleviate some of the financial pressure that Brad and his family will be facing in the very near future as he fights his newest battle with colon cancer.

On Friday, 12/27/19, Brad went in for a colonoscopy. The physician was unable to complete the procedure due to discovering a sizable mass in his colon, which he believed to be a malignant tumor... the dirty C-word... CANCER.

That day, Brad’s loving wife Becky got in touch with close family and friends to alert them of this devastating news. Later in the day, Brad was admitted to IU Hospital in Lafayette. His physicians attempted to formulate a plan of action to begin the journey of making an official diagnosis. Late that evening, the doctor came in to see Brad and informed him that they’d be arranging to get him in touch with a specialist in Indianapolis. Brad was in a substantial amount of pain and the nurses attempted to make him as comfortable as possible.

On Saturday, 12/28/19, Brad was released from the hospital. The future of his diagnosis was still very unclear and he was awaiting confirmation of his actual diagnosis.

On Monday, 12/30/19, Brad and his wife headed down to meet with the specialist in Indianapolis, with hopes of gaining more insight. He was given an official diagnosis- Malignant Neoplasm of the colon. He was informed that he’d need to get an MRI and then begin chemotherapy. Brad was devastated and trying to make sense of it all. Everything was pretty blurry and scary at this point.

Brad returned to work on Thursday, 1/2/2020. He was still in quite a lot of pain, but pushed through. The next day, 1/3/2020, Brad had his MRI. The MRI results were less than amazing- it showed that the cancer had penetrated his colon walls and into at least 4 lymph nodes. Brad was informed that he had stage 3 colon cancer. He was told by the physicians that he’d need to start radiation therapy prior to chemotherapy and surgery.

Brad has an appointment scheduled on 1/14/2020 with an oncologist and is currently waiting to hear back for radiology to find out when radiation will begin.

Brad is not in this fight alone. He has numerous family and friends standing beside him to fight this beast. I am asking you, his friends, family, and community to help us help him & his family during this extremely difficult time. Anyone that knows Brad loves him. He is the type of person that would gladly offer you a Pepsi, the shirt off his back, a ride home, or help if he knew you were down on your luck. This is our opportunity to help Brad as he begins this treacherous journey. Brad is more than a friend to me- he is my brother from another mother and it kills me to see him suffering through the pain. He continues to work, but the frequency of work in his future is questionable at this point.

If you’re able to, I ask that you please make a monetary donation to this GoFundMe for Brad Hall. Let’s give him and Becky one less thing to worry or stress about during this devastating time. If you’re unable to help out financially, I ask you to please share this post. Together we Stand With Brad. ❤️

We will continue to add more details as we find them out, so you can stay updated on how Brad is doing.
