STAND WITH ANTHONY
Anthony Angione is an inspiration to all of us who know him. Paralyzed after a life altering motorcycle accident on July 21, 2007, ten years ago, Anthony has persevered to take on the challenges of being a paraplegic. After enduring months in a coma and years of pain and rehabilitation he continues to fight every day of his life to move forward. His irrepressible spirit continues to the amazement of his family and friends and anyone who meets him. His courage, his magnanimous personality and his humor continue as he lives each day to the fullest. My goal is to raise enough money to purchase a unique and incredible medical device for him. With the help of the Tek RMD, the Robotic Mobilization Device, Anthony can now move upward. This device can raise him up to a standing position and allow him to function in an upright position. The change of position from sitting in a wheelchair to standing can positively affect his health and the quality of his life in a number of ways. This new remote control wheelchair will allow Anthony to stand on his own two feet and enable him to move while standing. This will enhance his strength and physical ability to move forward and upward out of a traditional motorized wheelchair.
The Tek RMD is a life changing medical innovation. The one drawback is the cost of the unit. This go fund me campaign is my quest to purchase the RMD for Anthony. By way of background I have known Anthony since he was in middle school. Passionate about baseball and coaching, he grew into a role model for the younger players and taught and encouraged them to be their best. This type of influence continues today as he works with other accident victims to find their way. Anthony is an extraordinary individual and this is my way to give back to him.
