<div>My name is Augie Cowan and I’m the proud father of Andrea—a brave, beautiful soul who has defied the odds for 14 years.

<div>Andrea was diagnosed with the Late Infantile form of Metachromatic Leukodystrophy (MLD) when she was just a toddler. This rare and devastating autoimmune disease typically begins before age 2, causing rapid loss of speech, mobility, and muscle function. Most children with this diagnosis do not survive beyond early childhood.

<div>But Andrea is a miracle.

<div>Despite the relentless progression of MLD, she continues to fight every single day. Her strength humbles me. Her smile lights up our darkest moments. Her presence reminds me that Love is the most powerful force we have.
