<div>Help Me Buy a Home My Boys Can Be Proud Of
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>GOAL: $15,000
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div> To everyone who has been with us since the motel nights: thank you. You kept us going through the hardest year of our lives. Now I have news I never thought I'd get to share...
</div>
<div>I'm #2 out of 435 applicants for an affordable home in San Ramon — the city I grew up in. There are two homes available. For the first time in years, a safe, permanent home for my family is within reach.
</div>
<div> Our story
</div>
<div>In 2022, my boys and I fled domestic violence and chose a safer life. With help from local moms, we made it into a rapid rehousing program and started rebuilding.
</div>
<div>Then in 2025, mold took almost everything we had: baby memories, favorite stuffies, my boys' AAC devices, medical equipment, and the equipment I used to run my business. All gone. We have been starting over from zero, and it has been a hard road. We still have each other and I’m grateful for that
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div> Who I am
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I'm Alexandra. I work full time as a Behavior Technician supporting individuals with high support needs while I wait to take my RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) exam — my testing application is already submitted. I'm enrolled to complete my AA-T in Psychology at Diablo Valley College, and I volunteer my time as an advocate for families navigating special education.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>⏰ The deadline
</div>
<div>My file is due October 22. My ranking is being verified now, and once it's confirmed I'll be contacted to move forward with purchasing. I need to be financially ready the moment my number is called.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div> Where your money goes
</div>
<div>• Minimum down payment (3%): $7,242
</div>
<div>• Closing costs: about $5,000–$7,200
</div>
<div>• Prepaid taxes, insurance, and fees: about $1,000–$2,000
</div>
<div>I've saved $1,000 on my own. Every dollar beyond that brings us one step closer to the keys.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>How you can help
</div>
<div>• $10 = a cushion toward fees
</div>
<div>• $25 = part of an appraisal or inspection
</div>
<div>• $50+ = a real dent in closing costs
</div>
<div>• $0 = SHARE this page. Shares matter just as much as donations.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I know this isn't a small ask. I'm not asking just for me. I'm asking for my boys, who didn't deserve any of this.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>This home is our light at the end of the tunnel after years of trying to figure it out. My boys deserve a home they can be proud of. They deserve happiness, and I’m asking for your help to make it happen.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>If you can give, thank you from the bottom of my heart. If you can't, please share — text it, post it, send it to your group chat. You never know who will see it.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>I'll post an update at every step: file submitted, approval, and (fingers crossed) the day we get the keys.
