Stand for Sudan UK- Flood Fundraising

Dear All,

This is an emergency appeal. A call for all  to help Sudan due to the destruction caused by levels of unprecedented floods of the 2020 rainstorms, destroying the banks of the Nile. 

Stand For Sudan UK Campaign urges all donors around the world to donate to the Sudanese people who were affected by floods in 16 states out of the Sudan's 18 states.

More than a 100 people lost their lives and more than 120,000 homes were collapsed.  Hundreds of thousands were left homeless and isolated, without shelter, food, clothes and medicines. Coupled with the outbreak of waterborne diseases such as Cholera, Malaria & Typhoid in an already COVID-19 ravaged nation.

Over one million people were affected due to this natural disaster. A majority of those suffering are vulnerable people, affecting women, children and elder people.

All proceeds will go to flood appeal fund will go. Please kindly donate to the Sudanese Community Association of South Wales who will transfer the proceedings to its partners from Sudanese Civil Societies such as the Sudanese Civil Society Initiative and NAFEER who are coordinating the use of the funds in Sudan. Food Clothing Medicine Shelter Mattress & blankets We will use all the money (not cash) from the donations to buy the goods stated above. We will buy goods (based on the needs) with the donations from the UK, China & UAE, to be shipped to Sudan. They will be received by the “NAFEER” Group (the recipient) and the Sudanese Civil Society Initiative in Sudan, who are on the ground, whom will then distribute the goods bought with the donations to affected areas. 15 September 2020
