My name is Robert Ortiz, I live in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. I was born in New York but raised in Puerto Rico. I spend all my childhood and half of my adult life in the township called “La Playa” in Anasco the west coast of Puerto Rico. My mother, my brother and some of her siblings and their families live there and all of them need assistance after the devastation of hurricane Maria.
In September 2017 the island of Puerto Rico was hit by two major hurricanes Irma and Maria. On the evening of September 20 Maria, a category 4 Hurricane, destroyed much of the island of Puerto Rico leaving millions of families without electricity, food and water. The island was declared a disaster zone. My family resides on the west coast of the island and they got hit hard with the damaging winds that took the roofs off the houses and then the rain flooded the top floors of the houses. Additionally, Anasco got flooded by the river Grande and Caribbean sea. Some of my family lost the roof of their houses and all of them lost precious items collected over their lives.
Beneficiaries of The Donations: Any money raised is to help my mother, her siblings and other members of the family get back up their lives after loosing everything due to the devastation of hurricane Maria.
Distribution of The donations: The money will be distributed accordingly of damage of each family as suffered.
*Money to spend in medicine, water and food,
*Fix any structural damage of the house,
*Fix any electrical issues of house,
*Money to paid for removal of debris and fallen trees in the property
*Money to spend in clothing and toiletries
*Money for lost appliances,
*Money for lost of furniture,
Urgency For Donations: My family lives in Anasco in a township called La Playa a town located in the west coast of the island, they need immediate assistance. Aid is not getting to Anasco fast enough due to obstructions in the roads that connect to other towns on the island. They need urgent medications, water, food and gas.
I will be working directly with the family and monitoring the situation to make sure that everyone is getting their fair share.
You will be getting notifications or mail and pictures to show how the money was spend.
