Hi everybody, my name is Melody. Please give me a few minutes out of your day to hear about my brother-in-law, Garrett Chance. I’ve never used GoFundMe before, but my family recently got tragic news. My brother-in-law, who is a 25 year old father of two sweet girls (4 years old and a 6 month old) and an amazing husband to my little sister, Macey Chance, just recently found out he has Nonseminoma. He has testicular cancer. Garrett is so kind hearted, so hard-working and so dedicated to his family and is the main provider for the family him and my sister have made together. He is currently undergoing three different types of intensive Chemotherapy for the next few months. This has caused him to feel sick, weak, he’s losing weight, and all of the nasty side effects of Chemotherapy that are inevitable. This has caused him him to be unable to work. Which means he will have no income while he is physically unable to work. He is stubborn and wanted to work the whole time, but I don’t believe he realized just how much of a painful toll Chemo takes on your body until now. My sister, who has been a stay at home mom, has made the choice to get a job to help with expenses but she still has children to raise and a husband to help, so her new job is only part time. We all know a part time job doesn’t cover all expenses. On top of all of this, they just had to make sure their girls had a good Christmas, especially with it being the babies first Christmas. Along with still needing to pay their regular bills, Garrett now also has al lot of medical expenses. He is a stubborn and hardheaded man who didn’t really want me to do this, but after some convincing he finally said okay. He doesn’t want pity or to be seen as a charity case, but it doesn’t change the fact that they need help. Nobody asked for this to happen to them! As a 25-year-old young man, cancer is the last thing you would expect to happen to you. We’re asking if anybody could please help, hear his story and if you can, please donate to his GoFundMe. Even if it is just a dollar, every bit will help so they are able to pay their bills in order to keep a roof over their family’s head and food in their bellies, and to help pay some of the expenses of his medical bills. We don’t really have a specific amount we are trying to raise, we are just trying to raise as much as we possibly can to help their family out during a difficult time and to take some of the weight and stress off of their shoulders. Garrett needs to focus on getting healthy, and stop worrying himself to death over how they are going to continue paying bills and providing for their children. If anyone can help donate, we would appreciate it more than we could ever tell you! Even if you’re unable to donate, please get this out on any platform you can. Our goal is to get this out far and wide! Thank you for taking the time to read this. We truly and genuinely, from the bottom of our hearts, we appreciate any and all help.
