Hi, I’m Kaci — and I’m raising this for my dear friend Tanya.
If you know me, you know I’m deeply involved in animal rescue — and through that, I’ve met some of the most selfless, big-hearted people you’ll ever come across. Tanya is one of those people.
She’s the kind of person who gives without hesitation. She’s opened her home to animals in need, driven across counties to save a dog on the side of the road, and shown up for friends and strangers alike when they needed someone most. She once met a young man who had sold everything to help his grandmother — and Tanya made it her mission to help him. She found him a car, helped him get a job, and reminded him that kindness still exists in the world. That’s who she is.
And now… she needs us.
⸻
Monday night, the 9th of June, Tanya’s world was shaken when she was T-boned by an SUV while driving through an intersection. Her vehicle was badly damaged — the rear visibly crushed, the front crushed and the airbag deployed. It’s currently being held at Gil’s impound, and at this point, we don’t even know if it’s drivable.
She was rushed to the ER at Grandview Hospital and didn’t get released until nearly 2 a.m. While we’re beyond grateful that scans showed no internal injuries, Tanya is in serious pain, emotionally shaken, and unable to return to work.
And this crisis didn’t happen in isolation.
Just a little over two weeks ago, she was involved in another car accident. She’s still paying on the vehicle that was damaged last night — now possibly totaled — and is now facing impound fees, repair costs, and lost wages.
To make matters worse, Tanya recently faced a breast cancer scare. Though she’s a survivor, a new lump prompted urgent scans. Because the appointment wasn’t considered routine, insurance didn’t cover it — adding thousands in out-of-pocket costs to an already tight budget.
Her beloved dog, Stella, is also dealing with serious health issues. She has a painful knee condition requiring x-rays and possibly surgery — and of course, Tanya has been doing everything she can to care for her.
⸻
Right now, Tanya is overwhelmed, exhausted, and hurting — physically, emotionally, and financially.
That’s why I started this GoFundMe. Because she won’t ask for help, but those of us who love her can and will.
Every donation — no matter how big or small — will help cover:
• Emergency medical expenses
• Lost wages while she recovers
• Vehicle impound and possible replacement costs
• Stella’s veterinary care
• Lingering debt from her previous accident and medical bills
If Tanya has ever touched your life — or if her story touches your heart — please consider donating. And if you can’t give, please share. It truly makes a difference.
Let’s show Tanya that all the compassion she’s poured into the world hasn’t gone unnoticed — and that in her time of need, she’s not alone.
With love and gratitude,
Kaci Miller
