We’d like to introduce our cheeky, happy, ‘go lucky’ nephew Liam. Liam is 2years old and 3weeks ago we never would of imagined we would be writing this. He was our usual fun loving boy who always had a smile on his face. But on Friday the 23rd of February our worlds we’re hit with shattering news...

Liam was diagnosed with a very rare brain Tumor called Pineoblastoma. Pineoblastomas are a rare, malignant, pineal region lesions that account for<0.1% of all intracranial tumors.

Much to our families disbelief Liam has been given a poor prognosis because of the aggressive nature of the tumor. Liam is currently at the Westmeads Children hospital and has had a shunt placed from his head to his abdomen to relive the excess fluid on his brain that is being secreted by the tumors. He is also undergoing ‘Intensive Chemotherapy’ to try and slow and reduce the cancer currently attacking his brain and spine.

Our family are staying hopeful and are not giving up hope for our little fighter! We are currently in the process of looking for any alternatives such as ‘clinical’ trials but unfortunately the majority are over seas and such an ‘alternative’ would have to be fully funded out of our own pockets.

What we are asking is for anyone that can spare even a dollar to please donate it to our Save Cheeky Liam Fund and/or please share this page. Any money donated will only be used on medical costs directly involved in the treatment of our little boy (out of pocket expenses for treatments and out patient medications or any specialist equipment he may need after the ‘Intensive Chemotherapy’).
ANY MONEY that is not used on Liam will be donated directly to the Westmeads Children hospital and The Brainchild Foundation.
