Hello! On Thursday, October 10th, Richard "JR" Green, while avoiding an unidentified driver who blew a stop sign, was subsequently involved in a serious crash where he hit a building, totaling his vehicle and in the process, suffered a fractured sternum, broken ankle, five fractured ribs, partially collapsed lung, and a burst L3 vertebra, putting him out of work at Autre Monde for an extended period.
JR has long been a beloved and valuable co-worker, expertly filling several roles at once, and is without a doubt one of the hardest workers in the industry. His dedication and work ethic have been remarkable, as is his dependability, rarely missing a shift for any reason.
Almost unbelievably, while getting various treatments for his numerous injuries, a scary diagnosis of Stage 1 Lymphoma was discovered, necessitating chemotherapy starting soon. Needless to say, this has all hit JR hard, and he is out of work for the time being, with no knowing, given the chemo, when he will be able to rejoin our tight-knit Autre Monde family.
In this season of giving, PLEASE consider donating any amount you can to help JR get through this traumatic and stressful double-whammy. Let's make JR's focus on getting well, and let his financial worries take a backseat. He needs help, and all of us at Autre Monde thank you in advance.
