Jasmine was our baby sister, little cousin, loving daughter, niece, and, above all, a devoted mother to her two daughters, ages 11 and 13. On December 17th, she was tragically taken from us due to a senseless act of domestic violence.
Her daughters witnessed and endured unimaginable trauma. One of them described applying pressure to her wounds and sitting with her as she awaited EMS. She heard her mom cry her last tears before she was taken away and died alone on the way to the hospital.
Jasmine was so full of life; she lit up every room she entered with her warmth and energy. She adored her nieces, nephews, and the children she welcomed as her own, cherishing them warmly as little best friends. She had so many plans and dreams for the future, all of which were stolen by someone she trusted.
Before her life was taken, she was forced into withdrawing all of her savings and surrendering it to the person who still took her life.
As we grapple with the immeasurable loss of Jasmine and the trauma surrounding her passing, we are also faced with the practical challenges of saying goodbye. Without life insurance and very limited resources, we humbly turn to you for support.
We anticipate working with the California Victim Compensation Board, but we know that the expenses for packing up her belongings, making burial arrangements, and planning a future for her daughters are uncertain and overwhelming. Your generosity will help us honor Jasmine’s memory and provide stability and care for her beloved daughters in this incredibly difficult time.
The National Domestic Violence Hotline: provides confidential, 24/7 support to individuals in crisis, offering not only an empathetic ear but also tools to help regain safety and independence. We miss you so much Jasmine.
