Hello, my name is Carrie. I'm a married mother of four sons. I have an emergency concerning my auto loan on my 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Van. I was homeless for almost 10 years but was paying my bills and working on my credit the whole time with the goal to move back home, which I did in 2022.
Twice I was in quarantine due to Covid and was unable to leave to make my auto payment and was required to pay to have my medication, food, and other necessities delivered to me.
The bank has been telling me since these incidents that the payments would be added to the end of my loan along with the late fees that I would be charged every month. I have been making my monthly payments and extra payments when I could. They have been telling me every month that I had four extra months to make payments.
Last week, I went to my bank to set up these payments, and they told me that they would while on the phone with the loan department, and they placed us on hold. When they came back, we were told that they looked at my contract and had been telling me wrong even up to that point. I have to pay the whole loan off by June 10th, which is today, $3,360.00, and it will go up every day.
I would hate to have them take my van over missed payments and late fees. Even receiving $10 would help and be appreciated.
