<div>Ik ben alleenstaande moeder van een lieve dochter van 10 jaar.
</div>
<div>In 2019 kreeg ik de diagnose Multiple Sclerose (MS). Jarenlang probeerde ik door te gaan ondanks de vermoeidheid en lichamelijke beperkingen. Maar het afgelopen jaar is mijn gezondheid snel achteruitgegaan. Na het overlijden van mijn vader zijn mijn klachten in korte tijd ernstig verergerd.

<div>Mijn linkerhand is inmiddels volledig gevoelloos. Lopen is de afgelopen maanden ontzettend moeilijk geworden. Ik verlies regelmatig mijn evenwicht en val vaak. Daardoor kan ik niet meer op een normale manier blijven werken; mijn lichaam laat het simpelweg niet meer toe.

<div>Ondanks alles probeer ik iedere dag sterk te blijven voor mijn dochter. Zij is mijn grootste motivatie. Tegelijkertijd sta ik er grotendeels alleen voor. Beide ouders zijn overleden en ik heb geen vangnet waarop ik kan terugvallen.
</div>
<div>Er bestaat een behandeling die HSCT (Hematopoëtische Stamceltransplantatie) heet. Deze stamceltherapie heeft veel mensen met MS geholpen om de ziekte tot stilstand te brengen of de verdere achteruitgang aanzienlijk te vertragen. Helaas wordt deze behandeling in Nederland niet standaard vergoed en zijn de kosten veel hoger dan ik ooit zelf kan betalen.

<div>Op dit moment is elke maand een strijd om de vaste lasten en dagelijkse kosten te kunnen betalen, laat staan om te sparen voor een behandeling van deze omvang. Toch wil ik niet opgeven. Ik wil blijven vechten voor mijn gezondheid, zodat ik er zo lang mogelijk kan zijn voor mijn dochter.

<div>Om hulp vragen vind ik ontzettend moeilijk, maar ik kan dit niet langer alleen dragen.
</div>
<div>Elke donatie, groot of klein, brengt mij een stap dichter bij deze behandeling. En als doneren niet mogelijk is, betekent het delen van mijn verhaal minstens zoveel voor mij.

<div>Help Me Fight MS and Have a Chance at HSCT

<div>I am a single mother to a wonderful 10-year-old daughter.
</div>

<div>In 2019, I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). For years, I tried to keep going despite the fatigue and physical limitations. However, over the past year, my condition has deteriorated rapidly. After the loss of my father, my symptoms became significantly worse in a short period of time.
</div>

<div>My left hand is now completely numb. Over the past few months, walking has become incredibly difficult. I frequently lose my balance and fall, and because of this I can no longer work consistently. My body simply won’t allow it anymore.
</div>

<div>Despite everything, I do my very best every day to be there for my daughter. She is my greatest motivation. At the same time, I am facing this largely on my own. Both of my parents have passed away, and I don’t have a support system to fall back on.
</div>

</div>
<div>There is a treatment called HSCT (Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation). This stem cell therapy has helped many people with MS stop or significantly slow the progression of the disease. Unfortunately, this treatment is not covered by standard healthcare in the Netherlands, and the costs are far beyond what I could ever afford on my own.

<div>Right now, every month is a struggle just to cover basic living expenses, let alone save for a treatment of this magnitude. Still, I refuse to give up. I want to keep fighting for my health so that I can be there for my daughter for as long as possible.
</div>

<div>Asking for help is incredibly difficult for me, but I can no longer carry this burden alone.
</div>

</div>
