STAGs - support local theatre

Like theatres and the arts up and down the country, sadly we have also been impacted by COVID. We have had to cancel 2 years’ worth of shows,  meaning our income has been severely depleted. We’ve not asked our membership to pay subscriptions, as we are aware that they may also have been impacted.

St Augustine’s Musical Theatre Company was started in 1974 and since then we have put on at least 1 show a year, until 2020. We want to continue for at least another 47 years, and come back in 2022 with a fabulous show.

But given we’ve had no income for 2 years, that is going to be challenging. Scenery, costumes, music, licences, all need deposits. Sadly insurance companies have now removed any COVID protection.

So we ask, if you would normally buy a ticket for our shows, maybe think about donating the cost of that ticket to ensure we can bring you a fabulous, uplifting show in 2022.
