In January mom went to the ER for excruciating back pain. It was there, in the hospital, we learned mom has a large mass extending from her lung that is crushing her spine. Upon further testing we were informed the cancer also spread to her brain and lymph nodes.
Mom is currently undergoing radiation for the spine and brain. She is also doing trial immunotherapy. This is taking a toll on her physically. Her pain is currently being managed through heavy pain medications.
We have a strong faith and moms circle of family, lifelong friendships and her church family has been the biggest blessing. Everyone has asked what they can do or how they can help. The time has now come to request financial help.
Their home needs more handicap accessibility and mom does need home nursing during this time. Tim has been a great caregiver but medical professionals are now needed to assist him.
