<div>Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, and friend Kathy had been experiencing frequent headaches for several months, and a recent slip and fall led to the discovery of a large inoperable brain mass. After multiple doctor appointments consisting of CT scans, MRIs, and seeing specialists then leading to a biopsy which revealed the worst possible outcome: Stage 4 glioblastoma which is the most aggressive type of brain cancer. We have already seen a rapid decline just over the past month from her normal everyday self-sufficient life to now requiring continuous care. Kathy has had to temporarily move to the Atlanta area to be treated by specialists at Emory University. She is currently undergoing six weeks of daily radiation and chemotherapy. The doctors stated that the goal of the treatment is to prolong her quality of life as the cancer is highly aggressive and they are hoping to slow the cancer down. Our family has just been trying to process this heartbreaking news as it all came on so quickly. We are continuing to pray of the best possible outcome.
