Staff livelihood assistance - Patowmack Farm

As a community driven Earth to Table restaurant, locale and health are our top priority. We strive every day to support all local businesses to provide our guests and extended neighborhood the finest food and service we possibly can. The D.C., MD, VA area alone has over 500,000 restaurants. According to restaurant.org, in 2019, there were over 700,000 people employed by restaurants in this area. In these difficult times, we as restaurateurs within the community are feeling the effect and hefty burden of watching these hundreds of thousands of wonderful and hard working people not having a place to go to work and earn a living during the COVID-19 shut downs.

It is at this time we are seeking outreach from our community that we have proudly served for over 30 years to help soften the blow that our wonderful staff now faces. We have created this GoFundMe in order to help bridge the gap as we offer Takeout options and wait for the current health crisis to diminish. Rest assured that 100% of all donations will be distributed directly to the staff who are currently out of work. These restaurant workers are not just “servers”, we pride ourselves in employing true career industry staff who are part of our family. We know how much they care and we are seeking to show them that in these tough times how much the community appreciates their current situation of hardship.

Remember, no contribution is too small. Many will have trouble paying rent, providing food for their children, and taking care of everyday expenses. GoFundMe allows funds to be received within just a few business days and your contributions will help us to provide a means for our staff to pay for rent, utilities, and other bills related to their livelihood during this crisis.
