GWYNN, STACY MARIE, 48, of Fern Creek, died on April 21, 2012.

Stacy was born and raised in Louisville, and was a 1978 graduate of St. Bernard's Grade School and a 1982 graduate of Fern Creek High School. She studied radiology at Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital and completed a Bachelor of Science degree in health occupations education at the University of Louisville. She had worked at Jewish Hospital and Datascope, and was an avid Cards supporter. Stacy sang in the choir at her church, the Cathedral of the Assumption. She was the youngest daughter of the family. She may be best known for organizing many groups including family vacations and reunions.

She was preceded in death by her father, Frederick Gwynn, who was retired from the Methodist Evangelical Hospital as Director of the Radiology Department; her nephew, Brian Ward; grandparents, William and Ada Snyder Gwynn, of Parkersburg, WV and Stanley and Nellis Pflanz, of Corydon, IN; along with cousins, Beth Ann Wilson and Morgan Pflanz.

She is survived by her mother, Grace Pflanz Gwynn; siblings, Stan, of San Antonio, TX; Mike (Betsy), Greg, of Orlando, FL, Donna, Jack, Ann Deddens (Alan) of North Carolina and Joe (Barbara); nieces and nephews, Meagan and Taylor Gwynn, Allison Gwynn Tuggle and Brandon Gwynn, Kelci and Marissa Deddens and Joshua Gwynn. She helped care for her great-niece and nephew, Taylin and Aydin Tuggle. Also surviving are numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 11 a.m. at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 5505 Bardstown Road, with interment in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Arch L. Heady at Resthaven Funeral Home, 4400 Bardstown Road on Friday from 2-8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Stacy Marie Gwynn Memorial Fund, c/o PNC Bank at any branch.

A recent facebook posting by Stacy stated, "since none of us really know when the end of our journey is coming; love, laugh and live like there is no tomorrow." ... "love you to the moon and back" ...
