Meet Stacia Taggart, a 9th grader filled with love for others and a desire to improve herself in every situation, despite the challenges she faces. On the beautifully sunny Monday afternoon of September 25th 2017, tragedy struck. Stacia, along with her mother Stacy and her younger sister, Saniya were invoved in a fatal automobile collision that left all three hospitalized. Saniya and Stacia were sent to receive intensive care at Arkansas Children's Hospital, while their mother's less severe trauma was treated at Baptist Health, several miles away. It was not until Wednesday afternoon that Stacy was discharged, allowing her to be with her children.
Wednesday morning sadness struck this family once again as Saniya passed from this world, leaving Stacia who is still receiving intensive care, without a sister and Stacy to mourn the loss of one of her precious babies.
Stacia, having suffered severe head trauma is now facing a long and rough road to recovery. The severity of her injury is still unknown, meaning the duration of her hospital stay and the cost of medical care is uncertain at this point. One thing is certain, this family will be needing you.
Being raised in a single-parent household comes with many challenges. When surviving on one income, suddenly removing the physical ability to provide is devastating. Compounding the situation with the final expenses involved with losing a loved one, makes for a financial circumstance that no one should have to face on their own.
Although abundantly surrounded with love from extended family and friends, Stacia and her immediate family need our support. In effort to ease the financial burden Stacy is now faced with, this fundraising page has been created. Whatever assistance you may be able to provide would be appreciated far beyond any verbal expression of gratitude could ever afford.
