Stacey Laurin Funeral Fundraiser

Sadly, Stacey earned her angel wings December 27th, in the loving arms of her husband Kelvin. I would like to shift this GFM from Stacey's medical treatments, to her funeral costs. The average funeral cost in Ontario is $1500-$20,000. Due to Stacey's health, Kelvin has been unable to work so that he could care for her. Unfortunately the bills never stop and a funeral is a large expense to add on top of life during cancer and the current situation with covid.
Here are some typical cost associated with the passing of a loved one:
•Death certificate ($15-$22) and registration ($55)
•Transferring the body ($100 and up)
•Shroud, casket or urn ($0-$3,000 and up)
•Preparing the body ($125-$525)
•Ceremonies (funeral, visitation, memorial) plus staffing fees ($2,000 or more)
•Burial plots and niches ($1,000 or more)
•Cremation or burial services ($1,000 and up)

The Good
Stacey Laurin is a pillar of the Canadian reptile community. She has been an amazing mentor for many of us over the years, spending countless hours helping people identify morphs, giving advice to new keepers, and producing some of the finest ball pythons in Canada.
The Bad
Unfortunately, Stacey has been battling aggressive ovarian cancer for the last 4 years, while still devoting herself to her community and friends. We all celebrated the news when Stacey announced she was in remission. Sadly the cancer has come back with a vengeance and taken over much of her body.
The Ugly
Stacey is currently at a medical facility receiving pain management medications and treatments. Unfortunately alternative cancer treatments are quite costly and a hard burden to bear. She is now in the fight for her life, if Stacey has ever touched your life, please consider donating to her cancer treatment, or simply sharing this fundraiser.
