Stacey Deans’ Fearless Fight

Hi, my name is Stacey Deans. I have been in law enforcement for over 25 years. My current position is Captain over a Criminal Investigative Dept. I am passionate about my work, family, and friends. My family means the world to me and I put my life on the line because I want a better world for them and the rest of us to live. Unfortunately due to an unforeseen turn of events,I ended up in the emergency room and then surgery, and then intensive care, all in the blink of an eye. Have you ever heard that life changes in an instant. Well, that is what happened to me. No trauma happened; life just happened. My cervical spine (neck) has deteriorated and caused me to be partially paralyzed. My left arm and leg no longer function due to my condition.  My surgeon had hoped for feeling and and movement to return after surgery was performed to repair my neck. Unfortunately, that has not happened. I will require long term physical therapy. Unfortunately my wife and I don’t have adequate insurance coverage. My insurance will cover 30 days of therapy. Needless to say this is causing great financial strain on my family. The medical bills will be astronomical. I’m praying that we can get the help we need until I can finish my long term therapy. My surgeon believes it will take 1-2 years to get my physical wellness back to the point of holding a job. I’m not afraid of hard work and I really want to be back out there protecting and serving my community. If you could see fit to help me and my family it would be greatly appreciated.
