For the first time, we have secured the largest relic of St. Thérèse outside of Lisieux to be present at Knock Shrine for this occasion. This is a rare and historic opportunity to bring the spirit of St. Thérèse—known for her simplicity, love, and powerful intercession—to thousands of devotees in Ireland and beyond. But we need your help to make this day truly unforgettable.

Why We Need Your Support

Organising an event of this magnitude comes with significant costs, particularly the secure international transportation of St. Thérèse’s relics. These precious relics require specialised handling, security, and travel arrangements to ensure they arrive safely at Knock Shrine.

Specialised Containers: Relics are typically housed in ornate reliquaries, which are both devotional objects and secure containers. For St. Thérèse, the "Gothic" reliquary or similar designs (e.g., those described in Lisieux’s Basilica) are used, often made of metal or wood with protective glass or crystal to safeguard the relics while allowing veneration.

Secure Packaging: During transit, reliquaries are placed in custom-built, shock-resistant cases to protect against physical damage. These cases are often sealed to prevent tampering.

Escorted Travel:

Relics are accompanied by designated custodians, such as clergy, religious personnel, or trained security staff. Accommadation is required for these volunteers which

Insurance: High-value relics are insured against loss, theft, or damage, requiring coordination with specialised insurers familiar with religious artifacts.
