<div>St. Swithins is situated in the small, rural village of Baumber, on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds. Parts of the Church date back to the 12th and 13th century. It was extensively rebuilt in the mid 18th century in the "Gothick" style we see today to serve as a mausoleum for the Earls of Lincoln and the Dukes of Newcastle-under-Lyne.
