All of us that have ever set foot on the grounds know the magical presence the church and school possess. Throughout St. Raymond's rich history it has seen its ups and downs. Some of the harder times have left us in the need to find renters to fill the sometimes vacant school. The generous donations from parishioners and OLQH-GS have helped us thus far. We were able to hang on until the miracle of Trix Academy leasing our school building last fall. Prior to the leasing by Trix Academy, the school building sat vacant for 4 years. In that time the school became in dire need of major repairs. The Trix Academy is paying for the cost of the building repairs out of their rent payments. This has reduced our income by several thousands per month. We are responsible for brokerage fees for the first five years of the lease and monthly special assessments on charter school income to the AOD. Looking ahead, our property insurance expense will go up in July as will our regular diocesan assessment. Additional security expenses were needed as the repair work was completed over the summer. The boiler system also required extensive work over its first full winter in service for many years. These expenses total over $300,000. So, while we have thousands of dollars coming in each month from Trix Academy, the income has been more than offset by the expenses during the first year of the lease. This will continue to varying degrees for the first five years of the lease and beyond. All of us can remember the good times and education we have received over the years with St. Raymond and all that the parish has done for us. In our time of need, we are asking for your help to continue to serve and educate the children in our community. Any way you can find the means to help, the donations are beyond appreciated.
