St. Louis de Montfort Academy Forge

Dear Benefactor,

At the St. Louis de Montfort Academy, we love tradition. We are a small boarding school for boys in rural Pennsylvania. We are run by full-time volunteers in order that our tuition can be affordable for most parents.

Being that we love traditions, we offer different “guilds” in order to pass on that love of tradition to the young men that go through our school. Also, as an institution that always seeks perfection and betterment in everything, we would like to expand our current list of guilds to include blacksmithing, one of the most traditional forms of craft known to man.

However, being that our tuition is low, our means for expanding are also insufficient. There are many more activities and projects that we would like for the boys of the academy, but we are barely able to cover food costs and paying the electric bill. We are staffed by full-time volunteers, so we don’t have to worry about money for salaries, but when cars break down or other things break, things do get pretty rough. Fortunately, we already have generous donors for that, but we don’t have enough to expand.
