The GoFundMe campaign to raise money for our annual St. David’s Day Party in Chicago is going pretty well, we are only about $550 short of the goal.
So far three prominent buildings on the Chicago skyline (The Wrigley Building, Two Prudential Plaza and Trump Tower) have all agreed to light up in the Welsh colours for the night, with hopefully one or two more buildings to confirm shortly.
Your donation will cover the celebration of St. David’s Day for the Welsh expats of Chicago. This fundraiser will offset the costs of food, beverage and venue fees at a Celtic spot in downtown Chicago within view of our skyline lit up red, white and green!
St. David’s Day is an important day in Welsh culture. More than pints, we come together to enjoy the song, spirit and solidarity of our homeland as an immigrant group.
