Jeffrey's Medical Expenses
Donation protected
On July 1st, Jeffrey Pons was struck by a (trax) train that was going full speed.
The crossing did not have safety arms or lights to signal an oncoming train. He was hit directly on the driver's side, which resulted in the car being thrown onto a pole on the crosswalk. He was then taken to the hospital in an ambulance, where they ran various tests and x-rays. Luckily, he did not sustain any life-threatening injuries, but he now faces substantial medical bills, as he does not have health insurance.
Jeffrey never hesitates to help anyone in need, and now unable to work, he needs help paying for his hospital bills.
At a later date, we will be asking the city to install proper gates and for incoming train signaling, as this is essential to people's safety and could have resulted in Jeffrey's death.
Any financial help would be greatly appreciated.
