Columbia University has been known as one of the most anti-Zionist and anti-Semitic campuses in the country, ranked 3rd by The Algemeiner’s Annual List of the Most Challenging North American Campuses for Jewish Students.
Columbia University is a place that hosted Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, where swastikas and an anti-Semitic slur were spray-painted on the walls of a Jewish Holocaust studies professor's office, and where Jewish students have historically reported feeling intimidated and discriminated against.
Columbia University is where it is time for Jewish and Zionist students to Own Our Narrative, which is the theme of our conference.
Students Supporting Israel will be the only movement ever to execute a large scale pro-Israel gathering at Columbia University, to promote Zionism and make a difference, and so we are bringing our movements fight to New York City.
Students Supporting Israel’s mission is "to be a clear and confident pro-Israel voice on college campuses and to promote students in grassroots advocacy.” By bringing our conference to Columbia University, SSI will be sending a message to one of the most hostile anti-Israel academic communities, and standing our ground fighting for Israel everywhere we go!
Help us turn the conference into a reality, by donating:
$108 : cover some of the materials costs of the conference or equipment rental.
$360 : print and ship materials for the conference.
$720 : help a student with travel stipend and hotel stay.
$1,000 : help cover the costs of speakers at the conference.
$2,500 : help cover students from the West Coast and the Midwest
send representatives to the conference.
$5,000 : cover major expenses of the National Conference in New York City which includes: Columbia University room rental fees, travel and stay for multiple students, transportation, speakers’ fees, and more.
Please help us fund SSI’s 5th National Conference for 2019 by donating to our campaign. All contributions are appreciated and will assist our operations tremendously!
