S/S 2018 Collection

For many years I have wanted to setup a fashion label, but personal and life issues had got in the way. After many bumps, hills and mountains along the way, I finally managed to create my woman's-wear and accessory sample range, which I showcased in December 2017.

My vision is to now take my samples and to turn them into a production line.

Background Information

Kisiwa in 2015 was formed as a social enterprise company, based in the UK. The prime objective of the company is to generate an income stream through the clothing retail sector, with the added value of using its profits to train and educate individuals in the creative industry.

Kisiwa’s profits will be reinvested into, two main areas. 

The first area is an apprentice/Internship programme where individuals will develop essential skills around business planning, design, product development, technology, finance, marketing and sales. These skills can then be transferred into either employment or self-employment.

The second area of reinvestment will be the provision of both free and fee workshops that will cater to a wide range of individuals, aged 10 - 60. These workshops will be designed to teach individuals basic to advanced level skills in the areas of soft furnishing, garment, construction, accessories, millinery, textiles and various creative crafts. These workshops will have the added benefit of teaching skills that allow individuals to make a living, have a taste towards further education or simply gain additional skills.

My hope and dream is for Kisiwa to be a well known and recognised brand and identified as a provider of high quality and accredited training in fashion, textiles and creative arts.
